Bueno, finalmente ha llegado la hora, a partir de este momento comienza el concurso GeeksRoom HP Better Together Giveaways, con la posibilidad de que una persona se lleve el paquete de premios que consiste en una Notebook HP Pavilion dv6 con Windows Vista , una netbook HP Mini 110 con Windows XP, Syncables Software y una backpack Timbuk2 con el logo de GeeksRoom.
Las reglas para participar son las siguientes:
- Participación en este concurso implica la aceptación total de las reglas del mismo.
- Las personas ganadoras de alguno de los concursos HP Better Together Giveaways, no podrán participar en otros concursos del mismo que se desarrollan en los demás blogs participantes.
- Para obtener un número es necesario cumplir con uno solo de los siguientes 3 requisitos:
1. Suscribirse a las feeds de Geeksroom. No se olviden de confirmar la suscripción cuando reciban el email de Feedburner, que es nuestro distribuidor de RSS feeds. Actualización: si estás suscripto desde antes del concurso, entonces debes de cumplir con el punto 2 (Twitter) o el 3 (dejar un comentario este post). La suscripcion debe de hacerse desde el formulario de “Suscribete a las feeds”, que se encuentra en la barra de la derecha!.

3. Dejar un comentario en este post contándome en donde y cómo usaras el paquete de premios si llegas a ganar el concurso. - Cada uno de los participantes que cumplan con los requisitos se harán acreedores de un número que será asignado por turno de ingreso en el concurso.
- Solo una entrada por participante. Si se reciben más de una entrada por participante, serán removidas del concurso.
- Ningún familiar de Hector Russo podrá participar del concurso.
- El concurso se desarrollará desde el momento en que se publica este post, hasta el día 3 de Setiembre a las 6:00 P.M. Dallas Time.
- El ganador será determinado mediante un sorteo en el sitio Random.org , que realizaremos con el procedimiento Sequence Generator.
- Una vez determinado el ganador, el mismo recibirá un email con la noticia y deberá contestarlo en el término de 48 Hs, aceptando el premio y enviando sus datos personales (nombre, dirección y teléfono) (los mismos serán entregados a los organizadores de la promoción (sponsors) para la entrega del paquete de premios). Una vez recibida la confirmación de aceptación del premio, publicaremos el nombre, ciudad y país de residencia en un post en GeeksRoom. Los demas datos no serán compartidos con nadie más.
- Si el ganador reside en los Estados Unidos, el premio será enviado por los sponsors directamente al domicilio declarado por el ganador. Si el ganador reside en otro país, se tratará de enviar el paquete de premios y si esto no es posible, debido a restricciones aduaneras y excesivos gravámenes, el ganador recibirá crédito por el valor del premio, en el store en línea de HP de influencia en el país en que reside.
- Una vez determinado el ganador, la desición será final y no se aceptarán ningún tipo de reclamos.

Finally it’s the time for the GeeksRoom HP Better Together Giveaways contest, where you will have the posibility to win the following prize package: a HP dv6 laptop with Windows Vista , a HP Mini 110 laptop with Windows XP, Syncables Software and a customized Timbuk2 backpack.

- People who have won at another website participating in the HP Better Together Giveaways are ineligible to participate in another contest.
- To participate in the contest the participant has to comply with only one of the following requisits:

- The contest start from the moment that this post is publish, August 30, until September 3, at 6:00 p.m. Dallas Time.
- The winner will be determined by the use of the procedure Sequence Generator from Random.org.
- The winner will be notified via email, and he/she has to confirm the prize acceptance and contact details (name, address, phone) by replying our email, and we will pass the data to the sponsors, who will send the prize. I would use the laptops mainly for school. The HP dv6 laptop would be a good laptop to design projects in AutoCAD and Matlab (two programs I need for some engineering courses). I’d also use it for school assignments, editing photographs, and surfing the net. The HP Mini 110 would be a nice alternative to the dv6 when it isn’t a priority to work on AutoCAD, especially since I usually have to bring heavy schoolbooks with me on campus. I would use the Mini for basic note taking, writing reports and surfing the net.

If I were lucky enough to win this computer, I’d give it to my husband. He currently works on a really old computer to do CAD. It’s a bit cumbersome and slow. He’s a great a guy and has made sure that the rest of the family has what we need to live a good life … but, he puts himself last and worries about us rather than something new for himself.
I think his generosity and “good guyness” should be rewarded … I’d love to give this bundle to him!

Personally, I would utilize the notebook in dormroom to write papers, and do most of my homework for my Bioengineering major. The netbook however, would be really useful in taking notes in class or surfing when I am not in my room. And that bag looks awesome!

If I win, I will give the laptop to my brother who just started high school and desperately needs one and I will keep the netbook for myself to start my own business as I just graduated from college.
If I win this bundle I will give the HP Pavillion dv6 to my husband who will use the laptop at home. It will be used for work and for his art work. I will give the HP Mini to my son to use at college and at home when he comes home during school breaks or the odd weekend he heads home. The HP Mini will be used for college classes.
The software will be shared. The backpack will go to my son to be used at college.
I will use the HP Pavillion dv6 at home when my husband isnt using it.
I am a Reference Librarian in a diverse, economically challenged community in Massachusetts. We have limited resources and a great need for computer access for our users. Our patrons frequently have to wait to use one of our PC’s. They are doing job searches, apartment hunting, writing resumes, taking online classes, getting citizenship info and communicating with family and friends all over the world.
This equipment will be used to supplement our limited equipment, and allow us to better serve our community.

If I won the computers, I would be able to get rid of my old and broken down computer, and I would be able to have a good one to use for college. I would also be abe to give my mother one of the computers, so that she could travel with the computer and work where ever she was.

If I were to win, I’d use the package to complete my dissertation within the next year and a half. Right now I’m lugging one laptop back and forth, from campus to home. I can only imagine how cool it would be to set up the regular laptop in my home, travel with the mini version back and forth to the office, and then be able to sync the two up to keep all of my files organized. I think this has to be the best giveaway I’ve seen in the blogging world, at least as far back as I can remember! Thanks so much!

I would use this prize package to further my teaching education. I am studying to become a special education teacher, and a new laptop would really help me with reading the research articles. Also, my sister is in college that she commutes over an hour to, and so having a netbook would really benefit her as well. Thankyou.
If I win this bundle, I’ll use the larger laptop as my home computer and the smaller as my travel computer.
If I win this bundle, I will give both of the computers to my wife. She can use the netbook when she goes to school (or if we travel), and use the regular laptop at home to replace her current desktop that is slow and makes funny noises sometimes.
If I am lucky enough to win this bundle, I would give the laptop to my dad because his is broken, and keep the netbook for myself. I would carry the netbook everywhere I go, making me a mobile warrior. It would come handy to take notes in class and watch some movies.

If I win the package, I would install Arch Linux on both the dv6 and the mini 110. Once they’re running Arch Linux and the dv6 has desktop environment installed, I would install the Arch Build System on the dv6 and compile optimized packages to be installed on the mini 110. The mini 110 would be my go everywhere machine with its snappy performance, long battery life and low weight while the dv6 will be used mainly for heavy duty media content creation and consumption, program and OS development, and website development and administration. Syncables will be used under WINE to keep critical documents in sync while the Timbuk2 bag will replace my old backpack which is sadly disintegrating from the inside out.

I will use the HP dv6 and bag on my college as I am in Computer Science Faculty and I’m sufer from old Desktop and I travel to College as it is in another city so a laptop is doing it better. Iwill give the HP Mini 110 to my sister as she is in Computer Science too but in another University and she travel also to her faculty so a netbook is doing it better.We will exchange them between us due to projects in my or her faculty needs.
