Bueno, finalmente ha llegado la hora, a partir de este momento comienza el concurso GeeksRoom HP Better Together Giveaways, con la posibilidad de que una persona se lleve el paquete de premios que consiste en una Notebook HP Pavilion dv6 con Windows Vista , una netbook HP Mini 110 con Windows XP, Syncables Software y una backpack Timbuk2 con el logo de GeeksRoom.
Las reglas para participar son las siguientes:
- Participación en este concurso implica la aceptación total de las reglas del mismo.
- Las personas ganadoras de alguno de los concursos HP Better Together Giveaways, no podrán participar en otros concursos del mismo que se desarrollan en los demás blogs participantes.
- Para obtener un número es necesario cumplir con uno solo de los siguientes 3 requisitos:
1. Suscribirse a las feeds de Geeksroom. No se olviden de confirmar la suscripción cuando reciban el email de Feedburner, que es nuestro distribuidor de RSS feeds. Actualización: si estás suscripto desde antes del concurso, entonces debes de cumplir con el punto 2 (Twitter) o el 3 (dejar un comentario este post). La suscripcion debe de hacerse desde el formulario de “Suscribete a las feeds”, que se encuentra en la barra de la derecha!.
2. Enviar un tweet a través de su cuenta de Twitter con el siguiente mensaje (sin las comillas): “Concurso GeeksRoom. Premio: dos laptops de HP, Syncables software y una backpack de Timbuk2. #grhpbts http://tinyurl.com/grhpbts”
3. Dejar un comentario en este post contándome en donde y cómo usaras el paquete de premios si llegas a ganar el concurso. - Cada uno de los participantes que cumplan con los requisitos se harán acreedores de un número que será asignado por turno de ingreso en el concurso.
- Solo una entrada por participante. Si se reciben más de una entrada por participante, serán removidas del concurso.
- Ningún familiar de Hector Russo podrá participar del concurso.
- El concurso se desarrollará desde el momento en que se publica este post, hasta el día 3 de Setiembre a las 6:00 P.M. Dallas Time.
- El ganador será determinado mediante un sorteo en el sitio Random.org , que realizaremos con el procedimiento Sequence Generator.
- Una vez determinado el ganador, el mismo recibirá un email con la noticia y deberá contestarlo en el término de 48 Hs, aceptando el premio y enviando sus datos personales (nombre, dirección y teléfono) (los mismos serán entregados a los organizadores de la promoción (sponsors) para la entrega del paquete de premios). Si no se recibe confirmación dentro de las 48 horas o la dirección de email que tenemos para conectarnos con el ganador es errónea yel server rebota el mensaje, el premio pasará a la persona que salió sorteada en 2do lugar y así sucesivamente hasta que confirmen la aceptación del paquete de premios. Una vez recibida la confirmación de aceptación del premio, publicaremos el nombre, ciudad y país de residencia en un post en GeeksRoom. Los demas datos no serán compartidos con nadie más.
- Si el ganador reside en los Estados Unidos, el premio será enviado por los sponsors directamente al domicilio declarado por el ganador. Si el ganador reside en otro país, se tratará de enviar el paquete de premios y si esto no es posible, debido a restricciones aduaneras y excesivos gravámenes, el ganador recibirá crédito por el valor del premio, en el store en línea de HP de influencia en el país en que reside.
- Una vez determinado el ganador, la desición será final y no se aceptarán ningún tipo de reclamos.

- Participating in the contest, you have agreed to accept all the rules.
- People who have won at another website participating in the HP Better Together Giveaways are ineligible to participate in another contest.
- To participate in the contest the participant has to comply with only one of the following requisits:

If I win I will give the laptop to my fiance since she is in school. The netbook I will keep for myself and spend my days and nights translating this entire site into english only.
We have seven children and homeschool them all with one ancient desktop computer, so we would use it mostly for schooling and possible to send mom (me) back to school online because we would have enough computer resources in the house to actually get everyone on.

If I won this fantastic bundle, after running around my room doing leaps in various forms I would place the netbook and notbook, slide it in the stylish backpack and let them accompany me at the festivals and gigs that I attend. As I currently can’t afford one I have to write my review after the event is over – if I won this I would be able to write and blog instantly. Oh the joys of that!
If I win I plan on using it to help with my online schooling since I don’t always have the access I am in need of. I will most likely give the netbook to my little sister as a christmas gift since she has never really had anything as helpful before and the laptop would help me with my schooling and other needs.
I would use these to make my home office actually mobile for real. I have a partially home based business where a photography studio is located about 130 miles away from the retail location & must often travel back & forth, packing up & lugging my desktop once a week! Getting our information into synch would be an incredible improvement!

If I won, I would use the laptops for school and work. Besides using it for work, I would also use it to store pictures. The mini will also be great for checking my email on the go.
I’d say the mini would become my primary computer. I had a Toshiba Portege before, and that thing went everywhere with me. Although way underpowered by today’s standards, I had it running WinXP and surfing the web outside back before there was broadband wireless.

I would use the netbook to take pictures and use it like a mobile phone & use the laptop as a home computer so all my family can surf the internet and I could show them all the pictures I took with the netbook on it haha
I’d use the laptop to do work while my wife would use the the netbook for social networking. I guess that says as much about us as it does the laptops.

I do have a laptop…It is old…It is slow.
The keyboard sticks because someone spilled something on it and my boss won’t replace it.
One of the two DDR memory cards died so I am running on half the memory I once had and, you guessed it, my boss won’t replace that either.
Oh yeah, and did I mention it weighs about 10lbs?
The thing is an anchor so the thought of having a shiny new laptop I can leave on my desk and an even more shiny new netbook that I can take with me when I am out of the office makes me giddy with excitement. The thought of being able to take them both with me when I finally decide to leave is also a pretty sweet thought.

Yo usaria la laptop pavilion para mi trabajo y la minilaptop se la regalaria a mi hermano para que la use en la secundaria.
Pues despues de que a mi Mac se le recalentara tanto la bateria (unos 80 grados) que se abombara y ademas diera “un pantallazo”, que hay que reconocer que los pantallazos de Mac son mil veces mas bonitos que los azules de windows… pero mucho mas dolorosos…, Pues… necesito otro portatil… Trabajo de ello… Y es un poco dificil cuando no tienes un equipo decente…

I’ve entered almost all of these and I really want to get my hands on these laptops.
I’d use the laptop to do any and all types of homework and research since I’m in college now. I need to replace this 80 year old thing so I can run programs that require more RAM than 128GB. I’d use the netbook to take to class so I can easily type up notes and follow what the professor is saying.

If I win, I will keep the laptop and give my old laptop to my sister and the mini to her young daughter so they have more access to the internet & we can keep in touch. They just have one old desktop now that is on it’s last legs.
